The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2026 is the Government of India's flagship housing scheme providing ₹1.2 to ₹2.5 lakh financial assistance to poor families to build their own homes. The 2026 new beneficiary list has been released.

This scheme covers both rural (PMAY Gramin) and urban (PMAY Urban) beneficiaries. The government aims to provide "Housing for All" with 3 crore new houses to be built by 2029.

Who is Eligible & How to Check List

PMAY Gramin — Eligible If:

✅ Homeless or living in 0-1 room kutcha house
✅ SC/ST families without pucca house
✅ Female-headed household with no adult male member
✅ Families with no earning member aged 16-59

Go to pmayg.nic.in (Rural)
Click "Awaassoft" → "Report" → "Beneficiary Details"
Select State, District, Block, Panchayat
Your name and status appear if included

Submit Aadhaar, bank passbook, ration card, income certificate
Gram Sabha verifies and recommends eligible families
Amount released in 3 installments directly to bank account
